I signed on to the project as a ripper i.e. someone who would convert the tapes to a lossless digital format in as true a representation as possible, warts and all. That is what the archive process entails. Once in that digital form, the sound file can then be processed by people with, hopefully, much better sound manipulative skills, and much more time, than I have. I mean no disrespect to list members when I say that some folks talent in the area of hiss removal and speed correction are not as wonderful as they may think. 
I shall be returning to Rocker, once completed, the original tapes plus flac files of each tape side, plus individual md5 files and an overall text file detailing the tapes contents. The flac files will have been processed from raw wave files which have not been altered in any way. 
I'll try and update the wiki within the layout provided as soon as I can. As an aside, do we just allocate tape numbers whenever we are ready to add something to the wiki?
 I did have a chance last night to do a first take of 1979-01-09 and the overall sound was good although side-a did have a bit of bleed through on the right channel. A fine mix of sound from Throbbing Gristle to Jerry Lee Lewis via Beefheart and Fingerprintz! Subway Sect as the only session. All good stuff as my deceased faither-in-law would have said. I'm  not back home till friday evening so will have a 2nd try then. The tapes, as someone has mentioned, are a right mixed bag but only one of my batch appears to have some damage, a kink in the tape, with another having some tape mildew, nothing drastic.
