If they're shitty non-brand tapes (and it sounds like  some of the stuff is 
recorded over pre-recorded albums) you'll need to clean  the heads every 10 
minutes or so. It's worth the effort though it's a pain to  have to do it on a 
continuous recording like a Peel  show...
