Folks,
Well, to be fair, Peel does appear to have played Franz Ferdinand on at
least a few occasions, and in at least one case live from Groningen. I know
the first time I ever heard Razorlight was on Peel's show, and you wouldn't
put them in his top 5000, either, but if you happen to like them, you might
identify them with Peel; same goes for Sheena Easton, Kylie Minogue and
Musical Youth, right?

Ah, but as we all know, anyone that's ever tried to help a band out
for publicity will take even one solitary play to mean that the band
is a "Peel favourite". (And looks like even the Beeb will resort to
this these days!)
