Incredible String Band

groan. I fear I will have the Incredible String Band enscribed on my
grave. What is it about this band? Their history seems to have some
poisoned charm or curse which produces such glitches and debates. I
thought I had resolved all these matters to the best of my ability in
correspondence with yourself and Shane Pope (among others)
back in March/April, but evidently not exhaustively enough. My
apologies. I do recall checking everything in their sessions then,
made a number of important corrections (for which I was most
grateful) and I think I settled on overall veracity to the show
scripts for medleys, coloured by consistency within the entry as a
whole on some points of varied detail (eg it's 'Black Jack David'
throughout), but left the short version title of 'You Get Brighter
[etc]' in one instance for what seemed to me entirely valid reasons
at the time but which now escape me, sorry.
But anyway, yes, I am happy to receive any comments or corrections on
track titles , lineups, etc, but would prefer to be e-mailed offlist
about these, please, whatever the band, if you don't mind - there is
a danger otherwise of a very long trail of public correspondence on
individual bands, potentially tedious for others and liable to give a
possibly distorted impression of my genuine endeavours for
consistency across 4400 sessions and at least 10,000 different song
titles, within the context of seeking to be faithful to what
was performed and declared as a radio set at the precise time.
This does sometime mean that I have deliberately stuck with a title
that may not be what the song was called in a different incarnation
on record - but I do want to be aware of all such variations, of
course
