Coincides nicely with the recent thread on Walters.. I just rented the Old Grey
Whistle Test volume 2 DVD. While not blistering all the way through, it's well
worth a look. My particular faves were Judee Sill (new to me) and the
Undertones doing Jimmy Jimmy, which is/was quite wonderful. Ah those snorkel
coats, now THAT was fashion.

Of more relevance here is a Skiffle Jam of about 2 minutes, intro'ed by Andy
Kershaw, looking about 12 years old I might add. On washboard is Walters, Peel
on tea chest (?), Ro Newton on jug and Kershaw strumming one chord. It's
somewhat tear-jerking but fun at the same time. AND Walters had a bloody good
voice! Peel looked a bit embarrased by it. I wonder if it was the same show as
him showing Mark Ellen videos of the Birthday Party? I don't recall him being
on OGWT (or just WT as it had become) that often.

Also of note in the DVD extras is the Old Grey Squirrel Test, a kind of Cuban
Boys/Hamster Dance-like web film of the OGWT theme tune. Laugh....
