80s Peelenium discrepancies resolved, & Teddy Warrick remembered

Thanks, Phil, and "And", for those independent checks, which show
that in those 3 consecutive years of the Peelenium for the mid-80s,
in that one week before Christmas 99, something obviously changed
between Anita and Lynn's scripts and what John did on air (he would
do that, wouldn't he?). Anita did tell me she remembered something
about the Roxanne Shante track and was going to dig around for me.
The one year we are waiting on is therefore 1962, 25/10/99, which is
in the R1 archive if no-one else has it, so we should be able to sort
that. Of course, it is always possible that on some of the latter
years of the Peelenium for which the Torrent is incomplete, that one
or two other errors may have crept into the script / my book version,
but on balance I think this unlikely. It was just one week!

PS. Re, And, your comments on:
"I vividly remember listening to this show at the time because Peel
is distraught at the start of the show as he passes on the news of
the death of Teddy Warwick who he describes as being a 2nd father to
him. If you google his name, there is VERY little to show for his
efforts, which seems a real shame if you listen to Peel's comments
in this show."

That's right: Warrick (that's the correct sp.) is indeed a figure
much loved and acclaimed by those who worked with him, but relatively
invisible in most of the official histories and in general knowledge.
I suspect this might be because "Uncle Teddy" as Peel's children knew
him, was a diffident and discreet man, and when I interviewed him at
Walters house for IST back in 92, I got very little hard quotable
fact or anecdote from him, I regret to say. When one day I get round
to reading the Radio 1 dept files up to 79 and beyond in the Written
Archives, I am sure more will emerge to his credit. There are one or
two nice stories about him in Johnny Walker's recent autobiography
which again demonstrate his shrewdness. Teddy was the chief programme
organiser in the old gramophone dept in Egton House, but who become
one of the 3 exec producers, the second in command if you like , at
R1 from 1970, and his job was to oversee all the evening and
specialist shows, in which role he remained until his retirement in
the late 80s. His support of John Walters and Peel kept the show on
air more than once,
