There are copyright issues.    Under the terms of their agreement
with the copyright authorities the BBC are only allowed to put full
music files up for streaming if they have broadcast them in the
last 7 days and not allowed to put them up for download at all.
The excerpts on the Peel site are as far as they can go without
paying out huge sums of money
I doubt they feel the potential audience would justify the rebroadcast
of old Peel shows apart from the odd special occasion like 6Music's
Christmas broadcast (but that wasn't originally BBC material anyway)
