ASPIRING rock bands are still sending their records to John Peel's
home - two and a half years after the DJ's death.
His widow Sheila Ravenscroft said artists still wanted their music
added to the late broadcaster's record collection.
It is thought to be one of the largest and varied in Britain and
includes 26,000 LPs, 40,000 singles and 40,000 CDs.

Mrs Ravenscroft and her four children have yet to decide what to do
with the collection which he amassed over 50 years.
It is kept in the Peel's family home in Great Finborough near
Stowmarket, Suffolk.
Peel, 65, born John Ravenscroft, was BBC Radio 1's longest serving
DJ. He often played records sent to him by new bands on his show.
He died of a heart attack in Peru in 2004.
Mrs Ravenscroft said: "People send in their records and ask for them
to be part of his collection. It feels a bit strange but it's nice to
get them."
