I know what you & Bob mean, but "oven" doesn't trigger that 
association for me, still less oven gloves ("furnace" might), and I 
suspect it wouldn't for HMHB for whom the episode is doubtless 
remoter. I see on googling though that "oven" is more widely used in 
this context than I'd allowed for, but I'd still reckon any bad taste 
was unintended. If only they'd just changed their name to Walsall.
