An old favourite of John Peel - who did sessions back in 1978 and 1983 and
made it into the 1977 Festive 50.

BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday 13th June 2006 at 23:00 to 23:30 then subsequent
Tuesdays at same time until 7th July

Attila the Stockbroker (the original and best, with a piece about how
internet spam is taking over the world); Zena Edwards (with a poem set to
music about an old man who, when he walks, reveals his past flair as a samba
dancer); Benjamin Zephaniah (a proud inclusion who originally contacted the
show to say he'd like to appear); Polar Bear (the next big new thing, from
Birmingham); Charlie Dark (major up and coming talent); Malgorzata Kitowski
( with a poem about the joys of knitting); John Hegley (the alternative poet
laureate); Ed Harris (talented new poet/writer with a new angle on love
poetry); Serafina Steer (harp playing gritty songbird); Luke Wright ("I
don't get out of bed for less than ten grand") ; James Quinn (former
Coronation Street actor and National Poetry Slam Champion and Radio 4's
Ralph Stanza); Doctor Stewart (unique deep voiced performer and free
spirit); Niall McDevitt (Irish poet with a piece about the international
community of heroin addicts); Littleman and Edge (talented newcomers
originally launched on Bespoken Word and were named Word Up Grand Slam
