the longest  track times (ie. any over 10 minutes).  All the following 
(except the  1976 tracks) are stopwatch timings taken directly from 
the Festive Fifty  show recordings.

23:50    Orbital – Out There Somewhere  (47/1996) (after playing this 
track, Peel commented that he thought it was  probably the longest F50 
track he'd played)
23:32    Pink  Floyd – Echoes (4/1976)
23:07    Grateful Dead – Dark Star (Live  Dead version)(40/1976)
22:53    Genesis – Supper's Ready  (31/1976)
20:50    Tortoise – Djed (21/1996) (interrupted by  Stereolab track)
20:12    Mogwai – My Father My King (10/2001)  (the Radio 1 emergency 
tape cut in on this and played for a few minutes;  the Mogwai track 
must have kept running in the background during this  interruption, as 
track time seems about the same as the CD  track)
20:10    The Orb – Loving You (session  track)(10/1990)
18:08    God Speed You Black Emperor! – Hung Over  as the Oven at Maida 
Vale (session track)(21/1999)
17:31     The Orb – Blue Room (20/1992) (Peel commented that the full 
version of  this lasted 39:58 but playing that version would have 
played havoc with  the scheduling of F50 programs; not sure if the 
track he played is another  version/mix or just the 38:58 one 
cut short)
