Greetings, good Dr. Mango!

Nice to see your name again!

This is excellent what you've done and I will now (finally!) make a point of popping in and having a look at your stupendous work! (That and read all the replies sent thus far to your original posting!)

How's life, by the way?

Evening all.

I've spent the last couple of weeks going through my collection of John Peel session tapes. I recorded over 50 sessions, mostly in the period 1989-96, with some extra ones being taped in the last couple of years. As per Rob a couple of weeks ago, I snipped out any of Peel's links and have made mp3 files of these. Some are perfunctory, some quite amusing. I was quite zealous with the pause button on the whole, but I've managed to amass 37 clips from my tape collection. My particular favourites are the Fall from March 1981 (when it was repeated), the Half Man Half Biscuit comments from 14 Oct 1996 and the Stereolab session from September 1992.

Files can be found here: http://www.farmersboys.cwc.net/peel/

In the same folder is an mp3 of the beginning of the JP show from 11 May 1991, that I happened to capture because I recorded the "In Concert" programme that preceded it. There's also a text file called "sessions" that documents all my Peel and Radio 1 collection.

Regards,

Dr Mango

Best regards,
Neil
