PEEL AUTOBIOGRAPHY COMPLETED BY FAMILY

The family of the late JOHN PEEL are completing the legendary DJ's
autobiography between them, as he died before he had a chance to
finish writing the long-awaited book.

The relatives of the influential British radio star claim they are
comforted by the process of researching the tome, and treat it as a
form of "therapy".

Titled MARGRAVE OF THE MARSHES, the book will hit shelves in October
(05) in order to coincide with the first anniversary of Peel's fatal
heart attack at the age of 65.

Editor DOUG WRIGHT says, "It was such a big part of John's later
life that the family felt they should finish what he started.

"It's been a real family effort. The second half is written from
(his widow) SHEILA's perspective but every member of the family has
been involved in the research, rifling through John's old journalism
and his record collection.

"It's been great for them, it's been like therapy. They learnt more
about him and celebrated his life through the work.

"John kept everything, from his records to his old concert tickets."
