"Messy eclectism"?  Leaving aside the fact that's not even the right 
word (it should be "eclecticism") what an absurd view that is!  About 
as daft as that often repeated word "unlistenable".

Mind you, "The Messy Eclectics" wouldn't be a bad name for a band.
