"Purely Peel".

Yep - Robert Ward sent an email about it on 21st.

I recorded it - around 200MB. It is repeated later today.

The show is made from old shows from the archives - as BBC 7 usually does
when it runs one of these long sessions.
They were largely chat programmes featuring John talking about his history.

Walters and Peel programme about John Peel's background in music (seems to
have been cut short though - it was about 30 minutes) - "Peeling Back The
Years" - from Radio 1 on 26/9/87

"Radio Radio" from Radio 1 8/2/86 - this particular show was John talking
about his radio career.

A few bits and pieces - including an interview about his start at Radio
London and BBC - plus the retelling of how he met Sheila and talking about
the football disasters.

John's piece on Radio 4's "Fourth Column" from the end of 1994 was a "Grumpy
Old Men"-style moan about all sorts of things including motorway middle lane
sitter.

Chain Reaction from Radio 5 - where X interviews Y and then Y interviews Z
possibly 14/12/92 - David Gedge from Wedding Present interviews John Peel
possibly 15/12/92 - John Peel interviews Ian Rush

Peel and Walters trail for upcoming shows as played on Alan Freeman's show -
featuring various remarks about Tony "Pointy Nose" Wilson (Alan Freeman's
producer who had the previous week banned their trail as it was too long)

Part of a Home Truths episode from 27/12/03

Then a piece from the funeral that the children wrote (read by a friend)

Then the Kop singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" followed by the Undertones
and Teenage Kicks
