[peel] vintage Peel at his very best

The Perfumed Garden shows are wonderful - if you have never listened to Peel as he was 25 years ago try the Perfumed Garden Part 3 of 5. About 40 minutes into the show he is describing The Misunderstood's concert. Totally OTT, but as a piece of "Peel's Passion for Music" it can't be beat. He actually says " I would give up my entire record collection for a recording of Glen Campbell's guitar solo that night". What is interesting is that of all the 100's of bands Peel has championed The Misunderstood received the least acclaim. As he says, "Should have been as big as the Beatles..."

This is probably old news to most of you, but I'm new to this: There are some
terrific vintage audio transcriptions of UK radio at www.30242.net, including
some of Peel's final "Perfumed Garden" programs.
