Crimea

Saw Crimea on Friday night at The Borderline in central London, and 
they were magnificent. Really doubleplusgood. I'm not into describing 
bands by comparing them to others, as this always seems specious (just 
checked the meaning of that in the dictionary, and it does mean exactly 
what I want to say: plausible on the surface, but not in reality), so 
I'll just say that they have a great mixture of the assurance of a band 
who know exactly what they are about, along with the edgy awkwardness 
of newcomers. Great melodies and unearnestly passionate.

Can't wait for the LP.
