[peel] Marlo/Marlow/Marloe?

Not sure - thought they might be from the Stoke area though?

I think the name is a corruption of Marl-hole - of which Stoke has many
(where they quarry clay), in particular a nice one just round the back of
staffs.ac.uk (Stoke site).
