Peel chose the 1976 50 I'm quite sure (recently rediscovered as a
paean to The Motors which has been rather kept quiet!)

I think Peel doesn't really want to go on too much of an ego-trip
much which is understandable! But it must be a worry when the
listeners to the show don't seem to be paying any attention to what
they've heard over the year e.g. lack of hiphop in the past etc.
I'm not quite sure what what I voted for this year but I'm positive
they were all Scottish, as it's been a poor year for indie-type
music in general and while the likes of Lift to Experience are not
bad, nothing's really grabbed me on the one-time radio listens you
get from Peel, so stuff I've heard a lot for various reasons has
really stuck with me. (It would have any 3 from Purple Munkie, Lapsus
, Aereogramme, Josephine, Bendy Toy and ballboy. Possibly).
