Quickspace

there's a quickspace web site at http://www.quickspace.mcmail.com
which should clear up the confusion. yes, quickspace did used to be
quickspace supersport but the name was cumbersome and there was a
major band shuffle (ie three of them left) when it became clear that
tom wanted to stick with self publishing rather than accepting one of
the many offers they had from labels. this also seemed to coincide
with a change in direction from nice poppy songs like 'happy song #1'
and the 'superplus' ep to, er, the current stuff which i find dull.
anyway:

the spotty cover:
Quickspace L.P. [Kitty Kitty Corporation, Choosy06] - Swisher, Song
for Someone, Quasi-Pfaff, Mousetail, Winona, Docile One, Docile Two

the horrible white and orange cover:
Supo Spot L.P. [Kitty Kitty Corporation, Choosy08] - Quickspace Happy
Song (#1), Unique Slippy, Extraplus, Found A Way, Do It My Own Way,
Whiff And Spoof Song, Exemplary Swishy, Friend, (Where Have All The)
Good Times (Gone), Song For NME
(this, btw, is a comp of the early singles, all of them from before
the first lp)

the tree cover:
Precious Falling L.P. [Kitty Kitty Corporation, Choosy13] - Death +
Annie, Take Away, Mouse, 7 Like That, Quickspace Happy Song #2, Hadid,
Melo, Minors, Coca Lola, Stokey Lola*, Obvious, Walk Me Home, The
Mountain Waltz, Precious Mountain*, Goodbye Precious Mountain (where *
denotes vinyl only)

last night peel mentioned something about having to share a studio in
the forthcoming weeks, something like he was going to do the links but
someone else was going to be playing the records. should we be worried
about this? has someone at the bbc noticed the recent guffs? i can't
help but think this is a bad thing.
