Peel returned to the airwaves last night (24/8/99) and told listeners 
that his absence was indeed due to his wife's illness - she collapsed 
in the kitchen at home last week and split her head.  He said that she 
had recovered and, indeed, she was well enough to go to the Ipswich 
game last night and then give a brief on-air match report.  

The Peelenium resumed (unfortunately, in my view) at 1941.
